Are you open year-round?
ThriveAbility Community Connections is open year-round. Our hours of operation are: Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with the exception of Statutory Holidays. The only time that we are closed is from December 24th to January 1st to allow families an opportunity to enjoy the Christmas Season.
Which Days Can I attend?
Our Client Members can attend as many days of the week as they desire depending on our program availability. Some of our members attend 2-3 days per week, while others who wish to experience the full benefits of our program attend 5 days per week. The choice is entirely up to you! We pride ourselves in accommodating everyone.
I don't live in Mississauga, can I still attend?
We accept Client Members from all over the Greater Toronto Area including the regional municipalities of Burlington, Durham, Halton, Peel, Toronto and York. As long as you have transportation, we can accommodate you!
Is there a fee?
We offer a sliding scale fee structure that provides greater savings the more days you attend. Our fees are divided into two categories: General Support with a 1:5 ratio and Full Support with a 1:1 ratio. For a customized pricing plan, please contact us.
How old do you have to be to attend this program?
Due to the overwhelming lack of space in most Peel programs, we will accommodate Client Members as young as 16 provided they are a good fit for the ThriveAbility Community Connections program.
Our family requires extended hours at pick up. Is this available?
We strive to accommodate everyone. If your family member requires extended hours, we offer extended hours as early as 7:30 a.m. and as late as 5:00 p.m.
What Happens if we can't attend on a specific day?
Prior to joining, we walk all new Client members through our policies and procedures which cover sick days, unplanned closures due to inclement weather and cancellation notice.
Is there a wait list and if so, what must we do?
Currently there is no waitlist. However, in the event that there is one, potential Client Members will be put on our official waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis. We will then notify you as soon as a space becomes available.
Is this program covered by Passport Funding?
Passport Funding can most definitely be used towards the daily fees for attending our program.
Are there any program subsidies available?
We are currently working on some creative funding solutions for families in need through our Business Development Team. More details will follow soon.
